|Beta draft has been distributed
The beta draft has been compiled and distributed to a select group of friends and readers. We hope to submit chapter 1 to Lit at the beginning of August. :)

|Alpha draft is DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's been a month and a half since I posted last, and I sincerely apologize to all of my hypothetical readers. :P I've been extremely busy with school and work and finding an internship (which I've done). However, I have not been idle on the writing front. As the title proclaims, the raw drafts of all the chapters are finally finished!
Moreover, I have received all the edits back from Doctime, and am currently in the process of working through them all. I hope to have the beta draft ready for dissemination to the 'VIP list' within the week, but we'll see if that happens.
I am SO happy that I think I might burst! :) Current Mood: Ecstatic

Oh YES!!! :D
I've just finished the raw draft of the parts of Ch07 that have been giving me fits for well over a month. The chapter isn't complete yet, but the remaining bit will pretty much write itself; it's just a big hot sex scene.
After that last bit is written, just two more chapters until we can start hardcore editing and then send the beta draft around to the VIP list for comments. :) Current Mood: Elated

Ch09 is almost, almost
done, and I'm actually making slow but definite progress on Ch07. We're still well on track for the goal of having the full manuscript completed for June 8th. (That's the last day of my current school quarter, so it's easy for me to track the time left until the deadline.)
Looking for an internship is rather stressful. Current Mood: Optimistic

I'm experiencing horrific writer's block on Ch07, so I've switched to Ch09. I'm having great success taking my frustrations out on dear old Rudolph Metzger. *evil smile*

I finished the rough draft of Ch06 last week, and have begun work on Ch07. Progress is still slow, mainly because this past week has been completely insane on my end. I managed to complete everything I needed to do, though, so I feel pretty good about myself. I'm hoping to get more substantial work done on Ch07 this week.

I think there's something wrong with the writing part of my brain lately. Work on Ch06 is progressing, but it's slow and painful.
Perhaps this is what it feels like to have E.D. :-/

Chapters 5 and 12 are now completed. Yay!
|Tuesday, March 5th, 2013|
Work continues. One of our distinguished readers has very graciously agreed to edit for us, and Ch01 is under review already. I guesstimate about two more months to manuscript completion. However, there is still no
firm timeline for when we will begin posting, so please don't ask.
The story is now projected to a total of 12 chapters. Of these, Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 are finished, and chapters 5 and 12 are in progress.
I just finished entering all the existing characters into an Excel spreadsheet, based off Lil's notes and my own memory. It comprises 117 names at present; 109 of Lil's, and 8 of mine. We may consider making the chart available in some form once we've filled in some of the gaps. (Now I have an excuse to go back and reread everything from the beginning! XD)
If we never mentioned it, all the "present day" events in the Baxter continuity occurred in 2012. No specific dates, though.
|Sunday, February 24th, 2013|
Work on the story is progressing steadily. I estimate that we now have about 45% of the rough manuscript completed. The story is currently projected to be 11 chapters long. The manuscript is already 25K words.
Amazing what you can do with mutual enthusiasm and a few cool ideas. ;) Current Mood: Optimistic

|It writes, it lives!
Wow, it's been since last August since I updated. I sincerely doubt that anyone will notice or care anymore, but whatever. I'm an artist, not an entertainer, so I'm allowed. Right? (Please don't kill me.)
To be completely honest, I've made next to no progress on any of my Code Geass
fanfic. Lots of thought and no end of scribbled notes to myself, but no writing. So, what have I been doing with myself? Since I wrote last, I have:
- Earned a B.A. in History from Providence College (only took me 10 years)
- Continued working towards a B.S. in Network Engineering at the New England Institute of Technology (4.00 GPA thus far)
- Gotten a work-study job as a general-purpose writer and analyst at school. (It's tons of fun, but it takes a lot of my creative energy.)
- Edited a massive amount of amazing work by the authors I mentioned in my second-to-last post. Lilgirlsix and Mazuri have been particularly active.
- Begun to co-write a story with Lilgirlsix! XD
So yes, I'm writing again, even if it's not Geass fic. I love all the ladies I edit for, but Lilgirlsix and I have become very close friends through our work together. She has a particular talent for making genuinely lovable characters. If anyone who remembers my heyday on AFF.net is reading this, you may remember that I kinda fell in love with Kallen while writing Trust
. Hey, I'm weird. I'm an artist, so I'm allowed.
Anyway, long story short, I fell in love with one of Lil's character's named Zsálya while editing her story entitled The Destruction of the Vlkolak.
I came up with what amounts to a fanfic storyline for it (who'd have thought?) and mentioned it to her. She loved the idea, and we've been working on it together for about a month and a half now. We've completed 2 chapters out of a projected 9. The good news is that having a co-author seems amazingly effective at keeping me actually writing
, instead of just thinking about it.
If anyone's interested I'll post a little more about the story and keep people updated on its development. In the meantime, if you're curious to read this latest project of mine when it's ready, I strongly
recommend that you at least read The Destruction of the Vlkolak
first. However, if you want the whole amazing story that Lil's written, start with Wolf's Pet
. Then read The Twins Take Over, Destruction,
and lastly Out of Darkness
. If you like romance and/or werewolves, you will LOVE
I feel obligated by my editorial pride to point out that Wolf's Pet
was published before I became Lil's editor. She's mentioned going back to clean up the little grammar errors and stuff and also to clarify and expand upon certain aspects of the story. Still, the existing story is quite amazing. :)
So yeah, that's what happened to me. Will and Nunnally say hi to all of you, by the way. They're just fine, don't worry. ^^

I'm working on Ch06 here and there, but I haven't yet found a good solid chunk of time to sit down and overhaul Ch05 per klv's edit. At this point I'm probably going to post Ch05 at the beginning of next
month, Ch06 the month after, and so on. 9_9

|Colleagues I Edit For
I currently have the privilege of editing for four fellow writers, all of whom mainly post in the Nonhuman section at Literotica
. I thought I'd plug for them here, to turn my fans on to their excellent work. :)
Here they are, in alphabetical order:
- Dreamsofbirds - Vamps, weres, conspiracies, and romance. And awesome!
- Lilgirlsix - Best-known for the Baxter Pack Saga (as I think of it) -- all werewolves
- Mazuri - Best-known for the Reveal Saga (as I think of it) -- all sorts of nonhuman species
- Nottsgrrl - Several great stories about both humans and weres, all set in Maine.
If you like nonhuman stories--werewolves, vampires, et cetera
--you seriously need to check out the work of these lovely and talented ladies! You will not be disappointed. ^_^
Just posting to reassure you folks that I haven't vanished again. I got the edited copy of Ch05 back from klv the other day, and I think I'll be able to sit down and edit my master copy either tomorrow afternoon or Friday. Once it's finalized, I'll post it immediately.
I've been pretty busy with both schoolwork and also working over chapters for the fellow authors I edit for.
I'm still planning to have Ch06 written and edited for the beginning of next month, but we'll see how that works out.

I'm rather pleased right now; I've just figured out where William's family lives in Japan! I wanted something close enough to Tokyo to be only a short train ride away, but far enough that it could reasonably have escaped a lot of damage in the Britannian invasion. I came up with a nice little place called Kawagoe
, which is best-known for growing sweet potatoes. Apparently on one particular street in the city you can get sweet potato anything, from chips to beer.
I've begun working on EOTB Ch06, where Nunnally finally regains her sight! (I'm rather proud of the plot excuse I've come up with). In Ch07, we'll finally meet Will's family in person, which will be great fun! :)
The basic plan for EOTB, Square One
, and Be My Knight
is to bring all three stories up to the end of the summer, and get them in sync chronologically. Then I intend to stop the individual stories and transition to a single overarching story telling the entire plot through to the end of the storyline I've laid out. My tentative title for this super-story is The Lion, the Wolf, and the Dragon
. The Lion representing traditional Britannia in the person of Schneizel (I find him a better antagonist than Charles, and the Emperor's penchant for delegation is well-established), the Wolf representing the Black Knights in the person of Zero, and the Dragon representing the new Britannia in the persons of Suzaku. I hope that makes sense. Opinions on this working title are most welcome.

|It Writes, It Lives!
It's been just under a year since I last posted. I doubt any of my original readers will even see this, unless you have automatic LJ notifications or something. Ah well.
Firstly, my sincerest apologies to everyone for disappearing without notice. It wasn't planned.
Where have I been and what have I been doing? I'd really rather not get into it. I've had the chance to do a lot of thinking and planning for both my fanfiction and original fiction, but remarkably little opportunity to write, or even outline.
I feel confident enough to post here because I've finally had the opportunity to finish Eye of the Beholder
Ch05. It's a great relief to be able to say that. I plan to post it within the next few days, and then I'm going to try to post a chapter at the beginning of every month for starters. We'll see how well that works out. The chapter in question has not yet been edited, but I think it will suffice until I can correct that.
I'll also be posting revised versions of EOTB Ch01 through Ch04--none of the story has been changed, but I've corrected a few bugs and also incorporated advice from a British friend to anglicize the dialogue a little bit--especially Nick's and Kait's.
There are several original story ideas cooking in my scattered little brains, and I'll outline them a little when I have the chance. For now, stay tuned for EOTB Ch05 sometime in the next few days. :)

Yes, I know. I'm still working on it; I just can't seem to get the tone quite right. Unfortunately, I cannot offer a timetable at present.
I must admit to a certain amount of frustration. >_>
